Who We Are
The Toph Foundation, Inc. is a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) non-operating private foundation established in the memory of Christopher James Goldsbury. Chris was a much-loved young man who died unexpectedly on November 17, 2019 at the age of 36.
Chris loved family and friends fiercely, and shared that love with all that were fortunate to meet him. He always gave of himself to others in need, and somehow seemed to make it look easy. Chris had a quiet, easy way about him that never drew attention to his caring and sharing. Therefore, the mission of this foundation is to continue Chris’s selflessness in the support of charities that he held close to his heart.
We hope to endow the foundation with private funds from family and close friends, and in turn annually support such causes as: The Jimmy Fund (Dana-Faber Cancer Institute), The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Camp Takumta, and The Vermont Food Shelf.
Beginning in 2023, The Toph Foundation will be donating a $3,000 soccer scholarship to a Colchester High School student athlete (boy or girl). The hope is to grow this scholarship amount and continue to support the Laker community that Chris loved so much.
We know that Chris would love this purpose to continue touching lives by helping others, as he always did.
